Gas rebate credit cards are making an impact on the credit card market. It provides a way for you to reduce your overall cost of buying gasoline for your vehicle.
Like anything else in life, there are good gas rebate credit cards and there are those "not so good" .
Gas credit cards issued by the oil companies like Shell, Texaco, Exxon and others usually carry a higher interest rate than those offered by major credit card issuers.
Best Use of a Gas Rebate Credit Card
The best way to benefit from a gas rebate credit card is to pay your bill in full each month. If your credit card provides you with a 5% rebate on gas purchases, you can save by paying your bill in full.
If you do not pay your bill in full, and then pay 15% or more interest on your purchases, you will not receive the full benefit of having a gas rebate card. You will be paying more in interest charges than you receive in rebates.
Beth and I are very pleased to have the expertise of nationally known credit card analysts to help provide you (and us) with very good information about credit cards.
I have performed some website work for one of our analysts. One morning I arrived at his office before anyone else (he had given me a key) and the phone began ringing. I began taking messages: reporter from Wall Street Journal called, you need to call Money Magazine for an interview, etc. Television crews would regularly come to the office for interviews.
I said all that so you would know that we have found one of the best people available to help with your credit card decisions.
